Easy Hamburger Stroganoff

1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped fine (optional...or you can use onion flakes)
1 cup sour cream
can cream of mushroom soup
salt/pepper to taste
egg noodles

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain fat; add sour cream and soup to beef. Simmer 20-25 minutes. Serve over egg noodles. Makes 6 servings
